Selling Yourself

Know your worth. Don't sell yourself short!

I had a conversation with a friend last week about “selling” oneself.

I’m not talking about anything illegal here, rather, selling oneself for a job interview or any other number of circumstances.

We agreed that what it boiled down to is confidence, but he delivered an old idea in a new way: if you are a generally a confident person, say, in social situations, then how are you not confident in selling yourself?

The argument is that confidence (or any other trait) is part of the essence of you.

So why should you compartmentalize aspects of your personality and prevent yourself from small successes?

There’s an unconscious toxic belief that these traits “belong” to certain situations or circumstances.

There we go again, tricking ourselves into believing these falsities!

So, the question is, do you have the confidence?

If so, do you allow that confidence to spill over into other areas of your life?
